What is doggy day care?
Think of childcare… but for your canine companion! We will pick up your dog(s) and take them to Paw Club, where they will enjoy a full day of fun (with a healthy dose of development and learning thrown in!) with their peers, looked after by our experienced team before being returned home at the end of the day.
What will my dog do at Paw Club?
We offer a wide range of activities for your dog to enjoy. From enrichment activities in our cosy barn to having fun in our splash pool or roaming the surrounding natural woodland and paddocks, there is plenty to stimulate your dog, whatever the weather!
Most importantly, we are always there to supervise your dog to ensure they are happy, safe, and of course… having fun!
What is a typical day look like?
We follow a schedule to build a routine and allow our members to enjoy various activities.
- 8am: Dogs are collected direct from your door
- Arrival until noon: Dogs play, run around and have fun!
- 12pm - 1pm: Nap time and some time to chill – much needed after all the fun of the morning escapades and the perfect excuse to use our memory foam beds. This is also feeding time for the dogs that eat here at Paw Club.
- 1pm - 3:30pm: More time to play, run around and have fun! Will it be a dip in the pool? A run around the surrounding natural woodland or playing games with their friends?
- 3:30pm: Time for a clean and then back to the van to be taken home… straight into your arms!
Can I pick up and drop off my dog?
Sorry, we don’t allow it. However, the good news is that we do the pickup and drop off for you, giving you more time at home to get ready for your day. Plus, the cost of our doggy taxi service is included in the price. There are no hidden extras.
Please ensure we can access a key if you are not at home at the allotted collection/ return time.
Can I visit before signing up?
Yes, you can! We offer a “Meet & Greet” service, where you are welcome to come along and look around the facilities and ask us any questions you have… and of course, we get to meet your dog too!
We also offer a trial day before you officially sign on that dotted line, allowing us to ensure your dog is the right fit for Paw Club. We ask that on your trial day, someone is at home or nearby in case we need to contact you.
Please contact us to request a Meet & Greet.
What areas do you cover?
We cover almost all villages within a 4-mile radius of Coedpoeth.
Is there a minimum age for dogs to sign up?
We can only accept puppies over 12 weeks of age that are toilet and crate-trained and have been in the home for a minimum of 2 weeks before joining.
Are there any aggressive dogs at day care?
This is a resounding NO! All dogs accepted as members of Paw Club must first complete a behaviour evaluation (well, their owners do!), which allows us to ensure they don’t exhibit any aggressive tendencies that would make them unsuitable for day care.
We can only accept sociable and friendly dogs and will always err on the side of caution – so if we’re unsure, we would rather say no.
Will my dog need to bring anything to day care?
We’ve got everything your dog will need right here. There is no need to bring anything with you (although if your dog is prone to getting cold in the winter months, we recommend you bring a coat for them to wear). If your dog is getting fed at day care, please pack this in an airtight container or food bag clearly labelled with your dog’s name.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are. We are fully insured, DBS checked, and have extensive experience in puppy and dog etiquette and training methods.
What vaccinations/health requirements will my dog need to become a Paw Club member?
We ask that all dogs are up to date with their vaccinations and that we can see relevant vaccination documentation for DHP and LEPTO before attending an assessment.
Do you only accept neutered/spayed dogs?
The answer to this is that it depends. For males, we accept entire dogs under certain circumstances (some dogs may be too young to be castrated due to developmental reasons, for example). Entire dogs should not show signs of sexual mounting/behavioural issues. As a result, we will decide on a dog-by-dog basis.
We would ask that female dogs that are in season remain at home to ensure they are not subject to unwanted attention by other dogs at Paw Club (and to prevent any fighting between the males).
Finally, we ask that dogs are microchipped and wear a breakaway safety collar at all times, with a tag detailing their identity.
What happens if my dog becomes ill?
Should your dog become ill, we will contact you and then use our training and experience to take the most appropriate action required. In the case of a medical emergency, we will take your dog to the nearest vet. Don’t worry – your dog is in safe hands with us.
Is there a minimum requirement when it comes to booking in?
There is a minimum one-day commitment required. We guarantee a regular day(s) for your dog each week. This allows us to create a consistent and constant setting for your dog and helps your dog to forge relationships, too.
How can I book?
We thought you’d never ask! Just head over to the Contact Us page and choose the most suitable method to get in touch. A telephone call is always best, as we can answer your enquiry as soon as possible.
