About us
Why choose Paw Club?
Just as every nursery operates differently, not all doggy day care providers give the same level of service.
Paw Club caters to those pet owners who refuse to settle for average when it comes to pet care. Our family-run doggy day care offers unmatched homelike amenities coupled with interactivity to keep your pet stimulated and happy when you can’t be with them.
Outside, we have extensive paddocks, woodland, and a very tempting splash pool to explore.
Our main goal is happy pets and happy owners, and we achieve this with our rigorous procedures and proven business model.
The perfect location
I bought my home two years ago with the intention of setting up a dog business. I had been looking for a long time for the right property to start my business. Now, I have the perfect small holding with the right amount of space for dogs to explore and have the stimulation they need.
And, of course, staff are always on hand to stimulate play, supervise and offer cuddles and treats to keep those tails wagging.
Exacting standards
We are fully insured, DBS checked and have advanced experience in puppy and dog etiquette and training to ensure your dog is kept safe and happy.
It takes years of dog handling and training to build my extensive knowledge. You cannot learn what I’ve learnt in a six-week or even a six-month training course. Sadly, anyone can open a day care facility. Make sure you check out their credentials.
I strive to provide a professional, caring and positive experience for your dog to give you complete peace of mind so you can enjoy your day, knowing your dog is enjoying theirs.
This is a lifelong dream to have the opportunity to look after different dogs. I aim to have a reputation second to none, and our customer reviews reflect this.
Come visit. We’d love to meet you
We invite you and your dog to visit us and check out the facilities. If you want to join, your dog can enjoy a trial day with us before committing to a membership.
The trial day ensures your dog is the right fit. We ask that on your trial day, someone is at home or nearby in case we need to contact you.
Please contact us to request a Meet & Greet.
Meet the team
Owner – Joanne Hughes
Dogs, for me, are a way of life. Not just a job.
I come from a long line of dog fanatics. My earliest memory is being with my late father, an amateur gundog trainer. He taught me the joy of dog ownership, and I have been involved in dog care and training all my life.
I have owned and educated many different breeds of dogs and enjoyed every minute. We are passionate about dogs and their welfare and currently own seven. One is never enough!
I love the company of them, and each dog has a character of its own within the breed.
My first ever dog was a black Labrador called Jake, and I have had working gundogs all my life.
I have three cocker spaniels, Minnie, Maizy and Penny. They are grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter, and I am proud to say they are my own pedigree line that I’ve bred.
I also have an old Pug called Taz and three miniature dachshunds, Verne, Nessa and Gwen, the latter I rescued after suffering a broken sternum from a traumatic injury.
As you can see, I am very experienced when it comes to dogs, and I ensure all my staff are as well.
We have up-to-date first aid training, so if the unexpected happens, you can rest assured that my staff are up to the task.
